August 19, 2011 Updates

This one is rather difficult to explain because of the background of the dream. I don't remember the beginning, as usual. Wait, it's coming to me...okay, not really. The thing that pops into my head is a game. it has pink creatures. My brain is triggering 'Birdo'. Something about avoiding 'Birdos'. I think the main character is Mario???
Whatever.
Anyway, I'll try explaining it as best as I can. Okay, let's see...
There is lots of land. In the middle of the land is lots of water, and in the middle of the water is a small fort thing, like an island. The land was all green, green, green. I can't remember there being much trees, but there were hills and everything. The water is blue, but it wasn't crystal clear. You couldn't see the bottom, but you could see other things. The fort is all brown, and it is made out of wood, I believe. It is going to be complicating to explain what it looks like. In general, it is square-shaped. It only has one floor (as in, not 14 floors, like a hotel- one ground to walk on). There are wood arches looping here and there. I can't remember what it looks like perfectly. Let's put things in N, S, E, W perspective. On the W side (that's left), there is a small part of the floor that juts out. I might want to mention that, like a bridge, there are poles holding its weight above the water. So it is 'hovering', so to say (I can't think of the word) above the murky blue water.
Anyway, there is a section where you can walk out a little. It's like a dock jutting out over a lake or whatever. In the E side (that's right), there is a bridge-like structure made out of rope or wood. It's like a rope bridge (ropes intertwined together, not just one rope), but it's sturdy, like wood. Anyway, so you could walk out a little on both sides, East and West. On the South side, there is a walkway all the way to the land. Imagine a donut hole. The yummy donut part is the land. The hole is the water. And there is some donut stuff out of place in the donut hole. That's the fortress. Okay, so do you have a small image of it? I haven't even started yet... but you need to know what everything looks like before I start. Okay, here I go.
As I said, I can't remember the beginning. The first part I can remember, goes like this:
The fortress and every way to get there (the W, E, and S sides) are covered by monkeys. Yes, monkeys. And they're covering pretty much every inch of ground. But they aren't just any ordinary monkeys. If they touch you, you either die or something bad happens. All I know is that in the dream, I knew we had to avoid the monkeys. However, there was a little secret- if we could somehow go through the monkeys and go to the middle of fortress, we could be safe. The lead monkey was there. We had to give him something I can't remember to be safe (as in, an object, not a hug or something). He was as big as a human, and he was the only monkey that could talk (Almost all animals I dream of can talk, this isn't that extraordinary). He looked like a monkey, though.
Anyway, so my whole family was there. There was my dad, my mom, my older brother, my older sister, and my younger brother. With us was another family. All I remember being there was two boys, an older and younger brother, but I'm sure there were other family members there. Both boys had brown eyes and brown hair.
Anyway (I'll be saying that a lot in the future, I'm sure), the first part I could remember, the younger boy (he was maybe about 9 years old) was trying to get to the middle of the fortress. He was super fast and evasive, as in, he was really good at running past the monkeys. I could hear the monkeys screeching (EE! EE! EE!) haha...
Anyway, the older brother was on the W side, holding the thing we had to give to the big monkey in the middle.
The older boy is about the age of my older brother. He was shouting encouragement to his younger brother. The younger brother ran to the middle of the fortress. He then went to the part that jutted out of the fortress on the W side (the thing like a dock I described earlier?) The older brother threw him the object in his hands, and the younger brother gave it to the big monkey. We were safe.
Scene change!
The brothers are gone. So are most of the monkeys. My family is in the middle of the fortress. The big monkey is gone too. So is the S side bridge/walkway to the land. There is a middle-aged man talking to us. He is standing at the N side. We are standing near the S side. There is a toolbox in the fortress as well.
Anyway, so 'The Man' (let's call him TM) is talking to us all. He was describing to us a game. We needed a leaf to play it. TM was pretending to be dumb. He said, "Now where could we find a leaf?" I was thinking, Stupid man... or something like that. I hear him say, "I guess I could let you borrow one of mine.)
I look the E side of the fortress where there is the rope bridge. My sister (can I call her S again?) is looking for a leaf of her own. Some monkeys are there (they don't hurt you anymore). They're acting dumb too.
S says, "Give me a leaf." She knows there are some around.
One monkey tilts his head to the side and hands her a leaf the size of a dime. S gives him a disgusted look. "Stupid, that's too small," S says, or something close to that. The monkey plays dumb still.
He picks under the fortress and hands her a twig the size of a penny. S does the same. Disgusted look, and she says, "That's a twig, not a leaf."
While that was happening, TM takes a cabbage leaf out of his toolbox. I know it is a cabbage leaf because he says, "Here, take the cabbage leaf." He tosses it to the E side. It falls into the water, sliding over the edge.
I knew it couldn't get wet or the game couldn't work. I say, "It's going to get wet." And it was. But it was still floating on top of the water. Oh, I might want to mention that we knew there were man-eating water animals in the water. We said they were 'eels', but they weren't really.
My younger brother (YB) went to get it. He went to the rope bridge. Older brother (OB) went to make sure he didn't fall in the water.
Anyway, TM was still talking to my parents. He was saying how historical the leaf was. ("[This person] owned the leaf, he did this and that" blablabla) Obviously it couldn't have been THAT historical, or he wouldn't have thrown it in the water. Anyway, so he took out another leaf, talking about THAT leaf's origin, and he did the same thing! He threw it to the E side, and it fell into the water.
So, YB and OB are trying to get the leaf, but they soon forget about it. The water looks inviting to them, and they start swimming in it. They swam around the bridge. I watched them for a bit, amused.
All of a sudden, I remembered the eels. As I thought that, I saw one approaching my brothers. It definitely isn't a eel. It was much scarier. I can't even explain it to you. It was big and brown, with black, small beady eyes. It was shaped sort of like a manta ray, except it had a rounder tummy. It was twice as big as either of my brothers. I was frozen in fright. My brothers didn't notice it.
Then Older Brother did. He and Younger Brother swam away, towards the S area, where they could get onto land. They cold swim fast, but the 'eel' could swim faster. The eel (could I call it something else instead? it's not an eel. It's a sea creature with lots of teeth. Eels don't have teeth, do they? It shall be dubbed 'the monster') The Monster looked about ready to eat off OB's brother. Then he slowed his pace. My heart was pounding in my dream. my brothers swam around the S side to go to the SW area, where it was easy to climb onto land (it was like a beachy area whereas the S entrance was more steep) They were swimming... and swimming... the Monster was about to eat them.
My brothers reached the point where they could stand and run onto the W side. They were just about to do so. Then the Monster grabbed Younger Brother, biting his feet and pulling him under water. I screamed, which I'm sure I would do if that happened in real life.
I could see the Monster quickly swimming to the W side. He stopped swimming. I thought for sure that Younger Brother wasn't able to breathe and that he would surely drown. Then I saw his head pop out of the water. He was staring at the Monster, who had opened his mouth, revealing all of his small white teeth, like a shark. The Monster was two, maybe even three times his size. He was moving left and right, like he couldn't wait to eat him.
Then I could see Older Brother madly swimming over to help his and my younger brother. I found myself screaming, "[his name]! Swim! Swim! [his name]!!!!!!!" I might have even be crying, I don't remember. I know my mom was.
The last thing I could see if the scene of my younger brother, about to be killed or severely injured, and my brother madly swimming over to help him somehow.
Then the dream ended.
I woke up, sweating. I remember being so proud of my older brother, and so scared for my younger brother. I can't remember the last time I had a nightmare, but this definitely was.

The eel looked like this creature, except it was brown instead of grey, and it didn't have the upper fin on his back. Also, you could see his beady black eyes staring at you.
