May 29, 2013 Dream

In the past week-ish, I've dreamed quite a bit, actually. About three were long, long sequence dreams full of action and exciting things, but unfortunately, the moment I woke up, I couldn't remember anything. So last night was the first night since the last May 2013 post that I can remember what happened. Here goes:

1. There's a tennis court in a gym that looks like a basketball court because of its walls (there aren't the tennis nets that prevent balls from flying away) and its floor (the shiny light brown type). My tennis instructor was there, as well as a few other people (I'm not sure if I knew them or not, I can't remember). Then I appeared and went over to the far side of the net (from the dream camera perspective). The tennis net was much shorter than it really is, almost like a pickle ball net. Anyway, I can't remember anything else about that. I had the ability to appear and disappear, whatever that means. I don't think it literally means vanishing into mid air, but something to that effect.

2A. I was walking to my Government class, except the hallway there is different than the actual hallway in my high school. It's more colorful-ish. Also, the door to the classroom is different. In the dream, I think there were two doors to get in, one on the left side, and one on the right side. And in the middle of the two doors was a large white pull-down transparency thingymabob we used to use all the time in school. So I was entering into the room from the right door, and standing in front of the door opening were two students. One is a senior, D Jumes, and another was a female Korean student (that doesn't actually go to our school). Jumes was talking to the student in some language (An Asian language, but not Chinese, Korean, or Japanese), and I was rather impressed because I somehow knew that Jumes learned that language solely to communicate to that student.
2B. Time skip of sorts (or maybe I just can't remember what happened from A to B). I'm not in class, but we're not really learning about anything related to Government. My Gov teacher is there, though (she's awesome). The white transparency thing is down, and she has a transparency sheet shining on it. It has a excerpt from some short story or essay-like Literature. Our teacher wants us to read it and then discuss it in a short while; she stood at the back of the room. I can't remember the story, but it mentioned the colors red and blue. I immediately thought of the phrase, 'fire and ice,' and turned around to see if my teacher was looking my way so I can comment. She was busy doing something, so I turned back to the front. The phrase kept running in my head, and I started to mentally recite the poem, Fire and Ice by Robert Frost:

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

So that's how it goes. I first read it in middle school and quite like it just because it runs smoothly when said. The end. :)
